CHAPTER THREE
27 October 2008

This is our second day at Hualien. We have planned to go Whale watching today. So excited!!!

We went to the shop next to our hotel for breakfast. The breakfast is good and cheap!!!



After breakfast, we waited at our hotel for the guide to bring us whale watching.

However, the guide came and told us the trip has to be cancelled because the wind is too big and sea is too stormy. So it is dangerous to go out to the sea to whale watched. So disappointed.

In the end, we changed plan to tour other parts of Hualien. The guide took us to a lake, 鲤鱼谭. Since it just rained, the lake has a mist around it...so it looks not bad.

Think this lake is where the Taiwan drama filmed....the swan boat look familiar right!!!

Opposite the lake, there are a row of shops. The shops actually look quite jap.



We went to eat ice early in the morning on a rainy day somemore....hahahah
This is suppose to be quite a famous shop and the ice is made traditionally. Looks not bad right!

After that, we went to the farm...

Another tourist place, which I forgot the name. But quite nice...

They serve food and drinks in the wooden house...

See their funny menu in chinese.

Latte =拿铁

Cuppacino = 卡布奇诺

The ambience in the wooden house...nice place to relax on a rainy day.

And the best 韭菜臭豆腐 that I have ever eaten!!!

Last sunday, Peiling invited the all of us to her house for X'mas gathering.

So the sisters had our 1st X'mas gathering at Peiling house.

Potluck!!!

Minyann cooked pasta for all of us to eat! Bizhen make cheesecake for all of us to eat! The big sisters really know how to cook!!!

The rest of us decided to buy some food to share. It was very filling and we were so full that we can hardly move.

So coincidentally, Bizhen and I bought the same present for x'mas exchange!!!

And, Xinxin and Peiling are the recipient of the present!!!
