The Sichuan earthquake occurred on 12 May 2008 at 2.28pm. At that time, I was in China, HuangLong Jiu Zhai Airport.

Hwee Peng, Felicia and I were having our vacation in China and had finished Jiu Zhai Gou and Huang Long. Planning to take our flight to our next destination Chengdu, then Lijiang. The earthquake occurred, Chengdu Airport is close. We can't fly out of JZG. In the end, were stuck in JZG for 2 more days. We did not feel any tremors at JZG at all.

Thinking back, I have actually miss the earthquake. 我与四川地震插身而过。If our flight to Chengdu was earlier, we would have been there when the earthquake happened. If we were later, we will either feel the earthquake at Chengdu before we fly to JZG.

Suddenly, I feel that I am very lucky and I should live my life till the fullest. Life is really short and unexpectable.

Now, I am back to Singapore safe and sound. Sichuan had another tremor on 25 May, measuring 6.4. Feel so fortunate. The people at Sichuan are still trying to rebuild their home, a lot of them have lost their love ones and home. Really really sad.
